EAA AirVenture – Record Setting Year | Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers

View from Breitling DC-3 as it takes off from EAA AirVenture 2017 in Oshkosh, WI.

What an exciting year it was at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, WI. Between the world-famous U.S. Navy Blue Angels performing their first show in years, two F-35 Lightning II fighter flight demonstrations by the U.S. Airforce and the magnificent Breitling DC-3 making a special passenger flight on their world-tour, it was quite the spectacle. Jack Pelton, CEO and President of the Experimental Aircraft Association noted that “EAA AirVenture 2017 broke all records…with crowds of over 600,000 and more than 15,500 aircraft movements” during the week. This amount of traffic made Oshkosh’s Wittman Field the busiest airport in the world for the week!

Located in Hangar C, Booth 3058AA, Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers in partnership with Breitling showed the latest watches from the manufacturer with such close ties to the world of aviation. From the PLB on the Emergency II; the chrono-flight function on the connected B-55 Exospace; to the AOPA preferred watch, the Navitimer; aviation enthusiasts had the opportunity to see these truly special pieces first hand.

At Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the fine people of EAA, Breitling and the wonderful Breitling DC-3 pilots for making this year, a truly special AirVenture.
