For the 18th consecutive year, Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers has partnered with Breitling at EAA AirVenture, the world’s largest annual airshow held in Oshkosh, WI. Breitling, the authentic partner of aviation has a long and storied past closely tied to aviator’s conquest of the skies. From being the preferred watch of the Airplane Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) to creating the world’s first emergency distress signal complication on the Breitling Emergency. Breitling is truly an instrument for professionals.
This year will be one of the books as Breitling is bringing the historic Breitling DC-3 to EAA AirVenture as a part of the Breitling DC-3 World Tour. This tour will make the DC-3 the oldest plane to circumnavigate the globe! The DC-3 paved the way for modern passenger air travel and was relied on heavily by American, United and Delta airlines in the late 1930’s. In addition, the DC-3 played an integral role in World War II in transporting troops, cargo and wounded soldiers.
To commemorate this monumental endeavor, Breitling has produced a limited edition of 500 Breitling Navitimer 01’s that have been on board for the duration of the trip. Distinguished by the specially engraved case back, the Breitling Navitimer 01 – DC-3 edition will also come with a certificate signed by the flight captain.
Visit Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers in Hangar C, Booth 3058AA from July 24th to July 30th to see the latest Breitling watches.
